Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs - Booking

I want you as my wedding photographer. How can I book you?

I’m excited to be your photographer! Please complete the contact form by clicking HERE. I will be in touch with you soon!

Do you offer in-person consultations?

Of course! It seems that in-person consultations are become more rare these days, and it seems that most clients prefer to communicate via email, text, or phone calls. However, I do enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee with a potential client to discuss their photography needs!

How much is your retainer?

The retainer is 30% of your total wedding package or session cost.

Can I pay for my wedding photography in installments?

Yes! I’d say that around half of my clients choose to pay in installments. We can break up your payments in up to 4 installments, with the first installment being your retainer. The final payment will be due 2 weeks before your wedding.

I’m getting married really soon and my photographer backed out last minute. Are you able to shoot my wedding on short notice?

First off, that sucks big time. The good news is that if I have availability, I will happily cover your wedding. There aren’t any additional fees for last minute bookings.

What happens when I choose to book you?

You will receive a digital contract in which you can sign using almost any device with an internet connection (smart phone, tablet, or computer). The retainer will be due when you sign the contract. The contract outlines my duties to you as your photographer.

FAQs - After the Wedding or Session

What is your editing style?

That’s such a simple question, but I believe it deserves a loaded answer, especially considering the fact that most clients choose a photographer based on the photographer’s style. The best way to describe my editing style is, timeless. I like colors to be close to what you see with the naked eye. In other words…real, and unfiltered. If a scene is vibrant and rich of color, I want my photos to capture the essence of that beauty. Many photographers (and even cell phones) edit or filter photos that remove natural colors to achieve a certain look. I don’t use filters or presets. I do admire the popular light/airy and dark/moody styles of today, but I aim for photos to withstand the test of time. History has shown us that things that are popular will inevitably lose popularity. Take a look at some family portraits from the 80s, 90s, or even the early 2000s!

How long does it take for you to deliver wedding photos?

My typical turnaround is 3 to 6 weeks for weddings, with a guaranteed delivered within 8 weeks. I also send a “sneak peek” gallery of a few images within 1 day after the wedding. This allows the couple to view and share a few images from their big day, without the need to wait for the entire gallery to be completed. Image galleries are delivered via a personal online gallery.

How many images will I receive?

For weddings, the quantity of images depend on multiple factors (i.e. wedding duration, venue size, number of guests, etc.). My couples usually receive 500 to 800 photos for an 8 hour wedding, and 50 to 75 for engagement sessions.

Do you offer prints or photo albums?

Yes! Your personalized online gallery will have the option to order and purchase prints of your favorite images, directly from the gallery. If you choose to share the gallery with your guests, they can also order prints of their favorite images from the gallery. I also offer photo albums as an add-on to any wedding package.
